SUSPECT RACKETEERING OR OTHER

CRIMES BY YOUR PUBLIC OFFICIALS?

CONTACT THE FBI

The Hartford Courant’s March 20, 2005 article captioned Enough Scandal to go Around, focused on the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) success in investigating and prosecuting corruption cases in Connecticut involving local and state public officials.

Former Chief State's Attorney McGuigan stated within the article "The problem in Connecticut is, in the past there has been a cozy relationship between the government and the people who ought to be regulating or investigating them".

Our current Chief State's Attorney Christopher Morano, offered his frustration in attempting to convince the state legislature to provide a “workable grand jury system in Connecticut” emphasizing
"When I go to the legislature, as soon as I mention public corruption their eyes glaze over”.

With Connecticut’s State Legislature protecting its own by refusing to give the Chief State’s Attorney the necessary tools to prosecute crimes of state and local public officials, honest Connecticut citizens and contractors must rely upon the FBI to protect us.

As such, if you suspect corruption in your own municipality or the state and wish to seek the assistance of the FBI, you may wish to refer to the following websites:
